Membership
Membership is open to Italian American women who are interested in serving the Rochester community. New members are sponsored by any IWCC member who has been active for two or more years. Currently, membership averages 235 women. Members meet on the second Tuesday of each month with the exception of January and July for a general meeting and dinner.
There is an initial membership fee of $25. Annual dues are $25.
Member Benefits
The IWCC Community Council Committee researches various local projects for the purpose of donating to their cause. The IWCC budget allocates monies to various organizations and also allows for emergency needs. To enhance donations, the IWCC holds many fundraisers. Card parties, raffles, fashion shows, musicals and various other events have proved to be financially successful in raising funds for these worthy causes.
The IWCC offers members the opportunity to participate in the life of the Rochester Community in many different ways including:
- Enjoying the social gatherings of the Club, including the Christmas Party, Dante Scholarship Ball, Picnic and Mother/Daughter Banquet
- Celebrating Italian heritage at events like the annual St. Joseph's Table
- Supporting higher education by assisting on the Dante Scholarship Ball Committee
- Supporting local charities by assisting on the Spring Project Committee
